New Stock

A small addition of remaindered (ie, never read, from the warehouse) military books today, including restocks of previously sold-out items.  The are some lovely titles there.

They range in period from the Ancient World to the Korean War, stopping off as ever in the Napoleonic and Zulu Wars.

Now I've got to get to work on the backlog of Military Biography...

The Game's Afoot!

My local auction house has one of it's book sales on Thurs/Fri so I'm off to the viewing tomorrow afternoon.  I'll be there poking around the lots, seeing which boxes other bidders have pushed under the tables and making arcane annotations to my catalogue.

What wonders hide in Lot 878 "Mixed military/naval (5 boxes)" or Lot 928 "Archaeology, Roman history, etc"?  And what about Lot 808 "Climate/environmental, including several foreign language titles (4 boxes)"?

I might strike gold!

What's In the Box Edwin?

By no means is all our stock on the on-line store yet, so every so often one of my tasks is to to take a box from the mountain and list it (the real pain is putting up the photos).

Not the book mountain
This afternoon it was the turning of World War II naval...

The moral (and whole point) of this story is that if you can't see books on a particular area in the on-line catalogue, it might not be the case that we haven't any, but that there's a whole crate of the stuff waiting to be added.  So if you want to know, just drop me a note (there's a contact form at the bottom of the page).

Coming Soon!

As already announced to our FaceBook followers, I have decided to stock publications of the History of Wargaming Project.

The first order has gone in and I will give full details once the books arrive.  Keep tuned!

New Blog

After running for a while putting Diplomatists Books' updates on my personal blog, I've decided that it would be better to have a dedicated site.

Here I will put up any particularly interesting news and may run the occasional special offer.  You will be able to place direct orders (should you prefer not to order via AbeBooks) or ask any questions of me.
